An officer of the Indian Army and a soldier have been killed in a landmine blast at the Nowshera sector of Jammu and Kashmir late Saturday.
According to reports, the blast took place near a forward post along the Line of Control in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The two Army men who were killed in action are: Lieutenant Rishi Kumar and Sepoy Manjit Singh.
While, Lieutenant Rishi Kumar hailed from Begusarai in Bihar, Sepoy Manjit Singh was a resident of Bhatinda in Punjab.

Both the Army men were evacuated immediately following the explosion and admitted to an Army hospital.
Later, both the personnel were pronounced dead after succumbing to their injuries.
