In a big twist to the Amar Jawan Jyoti row, the Centre has announced that a granite statute of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose to be installed at India Gate.
This big announcement was made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself on Friday.

The opposition had slammed the Centre for ‘dousing’ the flame of Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate and merging it with the flame at National War Memorial.
“At a time when the entire nation is marking the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, I am glad to share that his grand statue, made of granite, will be installed at India Gate. This would be a symbol of India’s indebtedness to him,” PM Modi said.

PM Modi further informed that till the time the granite statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose is completed and installed at the India Gate, a hologram statue would be placed at the spot.
“Till the grand statue of Netaji Bose is completed, a hologram statue of his would be present at the same place. I will unveil the hologram statue on 23rd January, Netaji’s birth anniversary,” PM Modi added.
