Goa Police have booked actor and model Milind Soman for obscenity and publishing and transmitting obscene material in electronic form.
The police registered a case against the 55-year-old actor and fitness promoter under Sec 294 (Obscene acts and songs) of IPC and Sec 67 (Punishment for publishing/ transmitting obscene material in electronic form) of IT Act.
The actor on Wednesday posted a photograph, where he is seen running nude on a beach in Goa.
The photograph captioned “55 and running!” was clicked by his wife Ankita Konwar, who is from Assam.
The actor shared the photo on his birthday.
The actor while captioning the picture wrote: “Happy birthday to me 55 and running.”
A media report quoted South Goa SP Pankaj Singh as saying that a case has been registered against actor Milind Soman at Colva police station.
The police officer informed that the case was registered on the basis of a complaint lodged by a political organization, named Goa Suraksha Manch.
The Goa Police have taken the step after an FIR was lodged against actor Poonam Pandey.
Poonam along with her husband filmmaker Sam Bombay was arrested by Goa Police on Thursday for shooting an ‘obscene video’ at a dam in the Canacona town of South Goa.
However, the couple was granted bail the same day.
