Opting to bat first, India produced a formidable total of 255 for five in their allotted 20 overs.Sanju Samson led the charge with a brilliant 89 off 46 balls, anchoring the innings with a mix of powerful strokes and calculated aggression. Ishan Kishan provided the early momentum with a blistering 54 off just 25 deliveries, giving India a flying start during the powerplay.
The Indian middle order continued the momentum, ensuring the run rate never dipped and pushing the total well beyond the 250 mark, leaving New Zealand with a daunting target in the summit clash.
