In the world ranking of boxing in the 69kg weight category, announced by the International Olympic Committee’s Boxing Task Force, the boxer from Assam has been ranked third.
She is presently the highest-ranked Indian female boxer.
The 2020 Olympics will be held in Tokyo and for the main event, the International Olympic Committee’s Boxing Task Force will be conducting the qualifiers for selecting the boxers.

The Olympic qualifiers were scheduled to be held in China from February 3-14, however, due to the coronavirus outbreak the event has been shifted to Jordan and the qualification will take place from March 3-11.
The Indian contingent will travel to Italy on February 17 for a 15-day training camp and they will be joined by six more teams.
