As Shillong Lajong FC is set to meet Indian Arrows at the Ambedkar Stadiumon Tuesdayin New Delhi, the club from Meghalaya is eyeing for a convincing win.
Shillong Lajong FC will be looking for a win to put behind the disappointment of a 0-1 home loss to Manipur’s Neroca FC in the previous game.
After winning their first two home games of the season, Lajong was thrashed 1-5 by East Bengal. However, the Bobby Nongbet-coached side earned a crucial away point against Mohun Bagan and won 1-0 in Aizawl before the loss to Neroca FC.
With the opportunity of moving up in the league standings, where Shillong Lajong is currently fourth with 10 points from six games, they are looking for all three points in Delhi. The Indian Arrows is in the ninth position with only three points.
“We will try our best to register a win in the matchtomorrowagainst the Indian Arrows,” Lajong head coach Bobby Nongbet said, adding that the Indian Arrows is a good team. However, Shillong Lajong captain Samuel Lalmuanpuia may not playon Tuesday.
