After Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, his actor son Abhishek Bachchan has tested negative for COVID19 and discharged after 29 days’ stay in the hospital.
The 44-year-old actor was admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital on July 11 along with his father, 77-year-old Amitabh Bachchan after they tested positive for COVID19.

Abhishek shared the news in social media posts on Saturday afternoon along with a photo of his health care board from inside the isolation ward and wrote: “I TOLD YOU! Discharge plan: YES!”

The actor has thanked all those who have prayed for him and his family for their fast recovery and expressed gratitude to the doctors and nurses of Nanavati Hospital.
He said “thank you all for your prayers for me and my family. My eternal gratitude to the doctors and nursing staff at Nanavati hospital for all that they have done. THANK YOU!”
Amitabh Bachchan was discharged from the hospital after he tested negative for COVID19 in the morning on August 2.
After his discharge from the hospital, the renowned actor reached his home in Mumbai and said he would remain in solitary quarantine in his room as per protocol.
Abhishek’s wife and actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was also admitted to the hospital and returned home on July 27 after testing negative for the virus.
Their eight-year-old daughter, who also tested positive, recovered and returned home with Aishwarya.
