Even as he deposed before NIA at its headquarters in New Delhi a day before Easter Sunday, former chief minister and now leader of Opposition in the Nagaland House TR Zeliang did not fail to wish the people of the state a happy Easter Sunday.
“A very Happy Easter Sunday to you all. Rejoice for there is life beyond this fragile and impermanent earth. The Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ has given us life. Let us remember the true meaning of Easter and say thank you to The One above. Let us all pray and seek for the Grace and Blessings of our Living God,” he wished in his social media post on Sunday.

The former chief minister appeared before the NIA headquarters on Saturday for questioning in connection with “terror fund” probe and appealed to NIA to be examined at his residence, either in New Delhi or in Kohima. He cited his senior citizen status while submitting the legal appeal.
The agency is probing siphoning of Nagaland government funds to NSCN (K) and other Naga outfits during his tenure.
Meanwhile, the Kohima Baptist Pastors’ Fellowship (KBPF) held its annual Kohima combined Easter sunrise service at Kohima war cemetery at 5 am to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
