Nagaland governor designate RN Ravi, along with his family arrived at the Raj Bhavan in Kohima on Wednesday evening.

On his arrival at Dimapur Airport, Ravi was received by Nagaland agriculture and cooperation minister G. Kaito Aye and PHE minister Jacob Zhimomi.

Nagaland commissioner M. Patton, Dimapur deputy commissioner Kevekha Kevin Zehol, Dimapur commissioner of police Limasunep Jamir were also present along with others to welcome Ravi.

Ravi was also accorded a warm welcome by the people with traditional attires, representing different Naga tribes at the airport.

He was received by Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio, deputy chief minister Y. Patton, other ministers, advisers and senior officers of the state government led by chief secretary Temjen Toy at the Raj Bhavan.

Sharing some images of welcoming Ravi on his Twitter handle, Rio stated: “Received Governor-designate Shri R.N Ravi at Raj Bhavan, Kohima #Nagaland.”

Mmhonlumo Kikon, MLA & Advisor, IT, Science and Technology, NRE, Nagaland was also present to receive Ravi.

Informing about it on his Twitter handle, Kikon stated: “Privileged to Receive the Honorable Governor Designste today at the Raj Bhavan!”

The Nagaland police accorded him a guard of honour at the Raj Bhavan courtyard on his arrival.

Ravi will take oath as the Nagaland governor at 11 am on Thursday.

Acting Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court Arup Kumar Goswami will administer the oath of office and secrecy to the new governor. Ravi succeeds P.B. Acharya.
