The intervention led to release of funds to the Resolution Professional Team which would lead to immediate release of the necessary funds for labour payment and ration to mitigate the crisis. It has further been assured that sufficient fund has been made available for the next 4-5 months till which the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) will take appropriate decision for settling the ownership of the tea gardens.

This quick intervention of the Government of Assam has averted a major crisis of labour unrest and law and order situation in the Assam Company Limited tea gardens.
