Vice President Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu will visit Meghalaya on April 16.
On landing at the Advance Landing Ground (ALG) at Upper Shillong, Vice President Naidu will visit the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Shillong at Nongthymmai here and attend a function at the institute.

The Vice President is expected to land at the helipad (ALG) at around 9.55 am.
This is Naidu’s maiden visit to Meghalaya after occupying the office of the Vice President of the county.
Meanwhile, East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police (Traffic), BJ Laloo informed the public that traffic movement within Shillong city is likely to be affected during the visit of the Vice President, as there may be temporary stoppage of traffic during his travel considering security protocol that has to be followed during Vice President’s visit.

Laloo, however, said that all efforts would be made to ensure that traffic flow is restored immediately.
