Well-known Vaishnavite scholar and social worker of Assam, Dayal Krishna Bora, passed away on Wednesday.
Dayal Krishna Bora was the Acharya of Eka Sharana Bhagavati Samaj and also worked as as Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) pracharak.
He was a resident of Guwahati.
Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Education Minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya have condoled the demise of the Vaishnavite scholar and social worker.
While condoling the demise of Dayal Krishna Bora, Sonowal, on his Twitter handle on Wednesday stated: “Deeply saddened by the demise of eminent Vaishnavite scholar and social worker Shri Dayal Krishna Bora.”
He also tweeted: “My heartfelt tribute to the departed soul and condolences to his bereaved family members & well-wishers.”
Among the books by Dayal Krishna Bora include ‘Dhanya Dhanya Bharatabarishe’, ‘Bhumir Pora Bhumaloi’, ‘Santrahbad Ekora Prakhar Jui’, ‘Bharatiya Shiksha’, Noakhalir Padadhani’, etc.
