“Five years down the line, we are going to have a system of just going through the biometrics and the doctors will be able to tell you what kind of problems you have, same thing with e-Governance everything is going to be done through online application,” said Tamgadge.
Last year, in order to make digital payment easier, the Government of India has introduced BHIM app to link all bank accounts and to make payment just through fingerprints without cards or cash, the IGP said.
“It is our choice to remain stagnant or to move ahead and make our lives easier,” he added.
The DoNER Ministry aims to train 50,000 government employees across the eight Northeastern States within a span of three years. The training includes the basics of office work, day-to-day operation of digital payment, GST etc. The duration of training is seven hours per day.
