Two remaining districts of Tripura, which do not have district and sessions court will soon have such courts.

This was stated by Chief Justice of High Court of Tripura, Ajay Rastogi on Tuesday.

He also said that to take judiciary to the people’s doorsteps, setting up district and sessions court is a must.

He said this after inaugurating the district and sessions court, at Khowai.

While speaking on the occasion, the Chief Justice also exhorted the judges and officials to ensure that people get justice which is a fundamental right of every citizen under the Constitution.

He also said that when he assumed office as Chief Justice of High Court of Tripura on March 1 earlier this year, he had promised to set up district and sessions court in all the districts of the State.

He expressed his happiness that one such court is coming up at Khowai.

Justice Subhasish Talapatra, Justice Arindam Lodh, Secretary of Law D M Jamatia, Advocate General Aruan Kanti Bhowmik and District Magistrate Rabindra Reang also graced the inaugural function.
