Guwahati: Two athletes from Assam have been able to secure medals in two separate categories in the recently concluded  4th National Arm Wrestling Championship 2024.

The event was held in Duliajan from June 6 to 8 under the banner of the Board of Control for Arm Wrestling in India (BCAI)

Diman Nath was able to win gold and a silver medal in the 78 kg category. Whereas, Kaustav Hazarika secured a silver medal.

Diman’s performance earned him a selection for the upcoming Asian Championship.

Several sports bodies in Dhekiajuli came together to welcome and congratulate Diman and Kaustav for their amazing achievements.

Over 400 players from 17 states like Kerela, Delhi, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Chattisgarh, and the host state Assam are taking part in the event.

The Championship is being sponsored by Oil India Limited, Numaligarh Refinery Ltd, and various other organizations.
