Trouble seems to be brewing for Major Leetul Gogoi as he was picked up for questioning by the Jammu and Kashmir police over a scuffle in a lodge.
According to reports, Gogoi along with another colleague from the Indian Army checked in at a lodge with a minor girl. The scuffle followed after hotel staff refused the girl into the lodge.
Now the mother of the girl in question claimed Gogoi had ‘raided’ their house at night time on two occasions and on both the occasions, he was accompanied by Sameer Ahmed, the man who was with them at the lodge. Police sources stated Sameer Ahmed too was a Army personnel.
A day after police questioned a young lady after a fracas at a Srinagar lodge where she had proven up with two men including Main Leetul Gogoi, the officer who tied a civilian to a jeep and drove by way of several villages of Budgam last yr, her mom claimed Gogoi had “raided” their house at night time twice up to now and, on each occasions, was accompanied by Sameer Ahmed, the man who was with them at the lodge, according to an Indian Express report.
On Wednesday last, Gogoi, Ahmed and the lady have been questioned at a police station following an altercation on the Lodge Grand Mamta after the employees refused to let her in.
The police, it is learnt, later handed over Gogoi to his unit.
The mother of the girl claimed that Gogoi got here to their house at night time twice prior to Wednesday.
The mother further testified that her daughter was associated with a self help group.
Major Leetul Gogoi from Assam shot into media headlines last year for tying a civilian to his jeep and driving through villages of protesting locals.
