At the age of 21, Aditya Modak, hailing from Agartala, has put Tripura in the map of English literature.
Aditya Modak’s debut novel – ‘Arachnid’ – has been published by Canada based Ukiyoto Publishing house.

‘Arachnid’ is a science fiction psychological horror novel, about an arachnophobic man, who tries to make sense of the crumbling world he lives in, while fighting his own repressed demons in the form of spiders – both symbolic and literal.
The book was released on July 18. The paperback can be purchased from the publisher’s website, while the e-book is available on Amazon India.

The book is already available in the international market (Canada and USA). Copies of the book will arrive in the Indian market soon.
“I believe, as do my peers and superiors, that this stands as an achievement for the literary sphere of Tripura, especially in the field of English Literature,” Modak told Northeast Now.
Aditya Modak is a student of English literature at the Bir Bikram Memorial College, under Maharaja Bir Bikram University.
