Agartala: In a significant operation, Tripura Police in Bishalgarh under Sepahijala district, acting on a credible tip-off, raided a house and arrested two brothers in the Dhanchari area, resulting in the confiscation of 50 kg of dry ganja.
The operation, conducted at approximately 1:30 pm yesterday, also led to the apprehension of two individuals identified as brothers – Raju Sarkar and Sanjit Sarkar.

According to Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rana Chatterjee of Bishalgarh police station, the information received indicated that Raju Sarkar had been harbouring a substantial quantity of dry cannabis in his residence.

In response to the tip-off, law enforcement swiftly executed the raid, culminating in the seizure of the illegal substance.
The arrested individuals, Raju Sarkar and Sanjit Sarkar are now facing charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The duo is currently in police custody, and further investigations are underway.
