The police in Tripura have arrested the Saayoni Ghosh, the president of Trinamool Youth Congress.
Saayoni Ghosh has been arrested by Tripura Police on attempt to murder charges.
Ghosh has been arrested by the Tripura police for allegedly trying to mow down BJP workers at a public meeting.
“She has been arrested based on preliminary evidence. We have registered a case under sections 307, 153 of IPC,” additional SP of West Tripura police BJ Reddy said.

According to reports, women cops came to the hotel where Saayoni Ghosh was staying at around 11 in the morning on Sunday and said they wanted to question her.
Later, when other workers reached the police station, they got to know Saayoni was charged with attempt to murder and that she had allegedly tried to run over some BJP workers with her vehicle on Saturday evening.
