Pradyot said he had a meeting with union home minister Amit Shah regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019 (CAA).
The Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) became an Act after President Ram Nath Kovind gave his assent to the bill on December 12.
During his meeting with Amit Shah, Pradyot had told the union home minister that he would move the apex court against the new law.

The new Act seeks to grant Indian citizenship to persons belonging to Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi and Christian communities who have migrated to India after facing persecution on grounds of religion in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh if they fulfil conditions for grant of citizenship.
Along with several other petitioners, Pradyot has also lodged a petition in the Supreme Court opposing enactment of the CAA.
The Supreme Court will hear the pleas over CAA in mid-January.
Pradyot on Tuesday said there is nothing to be worried about his new party.
They are not against anyone, said Pradyot.
A few days back, a new platform was created to fight against the CAB under the leadership of Pradyot.
But later, differences grew between the leaders of the Joint Movement Committee and the Tripura royal scion and Pradyot started keeping a distance from them.
And, on Tuesday, Pradyot announced his new party.
