Tripura has registered 49 more COVID19 positive cases, taking the state’s overall tally to 520.
Confirming the news, Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Wednesday said 821 samples were tested for COVID19, out of which 49 were found positive.

The chief minister also informed that most of the infected patients have travel history and came into contact with COVID19 positive cases.

Tripura registered 25 COVID19 positive cases on Tuesday night, taking the state’s tally to 471.
Informing about the new cases, chief minister Deb in a tweet at 10.32 pm on Tuesday said a total of 581 samples were tested for COVID19 in the state on the day, out of which 25 were found positive.
On Wednesday, India’s total tally of COVID19 positive increased to 2,07,615 including 1,01,497 active cases.
While 100,303 people have recovered from the disease, the infection has claimed the lives of 5,815 people, the Union Health Ministry informed on Wednesday.
