The Covid19 recovery rate in Tripura has improved to 94.01 per cent, which is higher than national average of 91.15 per cent, a Tripura government report stated.
The Covid19 fatality rate in Tripura is 1.12 per cent, which is also lower than that of the national average of 1.50 per cent.
A senior health professional said on condition of anonymity that the five-day long Durga Puja celebrations just ended and the possibility of a spike in Covid19 positive cases cannot be ruled out.
In Tripura 141 Covid19 infected patients have been discharged during the last 24 hours. 2569 samples were tested on Friday, of which 97 persons tested positive.
However, no deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.
Officials said 28,714 people have been discharged from hospitals across the state so far, while a total of 343 people have succumbed to the disease so far in the state.
However, a report released by the Union ministry of health and family welfare in September this year stated Tripura to have the highest Covid19 death rate in the northeastern region at 1.11 per cent.
The Union health ministry report had also cited that the West district was the worst affected in terms of fresh Covid19 cases and fatality rate. Agartala then comprised 70 percent of the total positive cases in the state.
