Tripura is in an alarming state as the number of deaths due to Covid19 infection continues to rise during the second wave.
According to the state’s health bulletin, 565 people were marked to be positive out of 10,181 samples tested and 7 more infected patients succumbed to this deadliest virus across Tripura in the last 24 hours.
Among the elderly as well as youths, the number of deaths has gradually increased due to Covid19 in Tripura.

One of the reasons for such a situation is the delay in approaching the medical services.
The youths cannot predict the deterioration of their health condition after being infected by Covid19. Consequently, they are not visiting health clinics and hospitals.
The state registered 565 new positive cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 59,086.
However, with 610 recoveries in the last 24 hours, a total of 53,471 people have recovered from the disease.
Tripura’s recovery rate stands at 90.59% while the death rate has reduced to 1.05%.
With the death of 7 more persons, the toll has surged to 617 in the state.
The West district continues to be on the top of the list of infections, according to the health department’s media bulletin.
In the last 24 hours, 168 Covid19 cases have been reported in West district, 39 in Gomati, 53 in Khowai district, 49 in Dhalai, 39 in Sepahijala, 69 in North Tripura, 71 in Unakoti and 77 in South Tripura district.
As per the Covid19 vaccination bulletin, altogether 16,60,928 doses of vaccine have already been administered.
While 11,48,320 people have taken the first dose of Covid19 vaccine, 5,12,608 people have taken both the doses in Tripura till date.
Currently, a total of 4,76,960 vaccines are available in stock while 1,13,520 Covishield vaccines are in the pipeline to be received by the state this month.
