Tripura Tipra Motha candidates
Accordingly, Tipra Motha has moved ahead with a comprehensive candidate list covering the entire council.

Agartala: Tipra Motha on Tuesday finalised and released its list of candidates for all 28 seats of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC). The announcement comes in the backdrop of evolving political dynamics ahead of the polls.

The party has opted to field candidates across all constituencies following the Bharatiya Janata Partyโ€™s decision to contest the elections independently without entering into a pre-poll arrangement with its allies.

Accordingly, Tipra Motha has moved ahead with a comprehensive candidate list covering the entire council.

Notably, party supremo Pradyot Kishore Debbarma is not among the candidates this time. In the previous TTAADC elections, he contested from the Takarjala-Jampuijala constituency. For the upcoming polls, the party has nominated Suraj Debbarma, who is also the president of the Youth Tipra Federation (YTF), from the same seat.

The candidate list indicates a mix of continuity and organisational restructuring, with several new faces being introduced alongside experienced leaders. Senior functionaries such as Chief Executive Member Purna Chandra Jamatia and Chairman Jagadish Debbarma have been retained in their respective constituencies. Former MLA Rajeshwar Debbarma has been nominated from the Kulai-Champahour seat.

Among other notable nominations, retired civil servant Chandra Kumar Jamatia has been fielded from the Maharani-Chelagang constituency.

The party has also nominated leaders such as Bhabha Ranjan Reang from Damcherra-Jampui, Swapan Kumar Chakma from Machmara, and Umashankar Reang from Dasda-Kanchanpur.

In Karamchharra, Ratish Tripura has been selected as the partyโ€™s candidate, while Hangsa Kumar Tripura will contest from Chhawmanu. Hollywood Chakma has been nominated from Manu-Chailengta, and Dhirendra Debbarma from Demchhara-Kachuchhrra. Khotrojoy Reang will contest from Ganganagar-Gandachhara, while Prasmit Debbarma has been fielded from Halahali-Asharambari.

Further, Utpal Debbarma will contest from Maharani-Pur-Teliamura and James Debbarma from Ramchandra Ghat. Rabindra Debbarma has been nominated from Simna-Tamakari, and Runei Debbarma from Bodhjungnagar-Wakinagar.

Jiten Debbarma will contest from Mandainagar-Pulinpur, while Gita Debbarma has been fielded from Pekuarjala-Jamjeyjaynagar.

From Amtali-Golaghati, Buddha Kumar Debbarma has been nominated, while C.K. Jamatia will contest from Maharani-Chelagang. David Murasing will represent the party in Kathalia-Mirja-Rajapur, Kamal Kalai from Ampinagar, and Dhananjoy Tripura from Raima Valley.

Sujoy Uchoi has been selected for Natunbazar-Malbasa, Kenaram Reang from Birchandranagar-Kalshi, Debojit Tripura from Purba Mahirpur-Buratali, and Manindra Tripura from Silachari-Manubankul.

With the announcement of candidates across all constituencies, Tipra Motha has formally entered the electoral fray, setting the stage for a multi-cornered contest in the TTAADC elections.
