The police in Tripura have registered a case against TMC national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee.
Cases has also been registered against other senior TMC leaders like Dola Sen, Kunal Ghosh and Bratya Basu.

The TMC leaders have been charged for allegedly obstructing police personnel on duty in Khowai.
The case has been registered at the Khowai police station and the TMC leaders have been booked under section 186/34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The police accused the TMC leaders of misbehaving with Khowai Additional SP and SDPO and preventing them from discharging their duty.
Following the attack on party workers, TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee rushed to Tripura on Sunday.
The TMC delegation led by Abhishek Banerjee reached Khowai where he and other party members “staged dharna” in the police station.
