Tripura police on Sunday night arrested one more ATM hacker arrested from Dharmanagar area.
The arrested man has been identified as 23-year-old Sunny Buddy, originally a resident of Haryana who has been living in Rajbari area of Dharmanagar.
He was arrested while he tried to swap an ATM card of one Dilip Pal (65) from an SBI ATM counter.
As Dilip Pal raised alarm, local people rushed and caught Buddy red-handed and was later handed over to the police.
“23-year-old Sunny was arrested from Rajbari in Dharmanagar. He is originally a resident of Hissar in Haryana,” North Tripura district SP Bhanupada Chakraborty said.
“We recovered one Mini DX 5 machine and other devices related to ATM card cloning and a skimming device as well,” he further said.
A case was registered at Dharmanagar police station under section 382 (b) of the Indian Penal Code, he said.
