Tripura: Food scarcity in camp compels one NLFT militant to surrender

One National Liberation Front of Twipra militant Rabindra Debbarma surrendered before DIG head quarters Sindhu Kumar at Panisagar on Wednesday. Debbarma is the self styled warrant officer of the militant outfit.

Scarcity of food in the militant camp and lack of healthy life had compelled the militant to lay down arms. Debbarma along with his wife Chonta Tripura (27 years) and two daughters Jesmin Debbarma (4) and Mwchanty Debbarma (2) surrendered before the DIG.

Rabindra Debbarma hails from Natun Bazaar Brendra Debbarma para under Dhalai district.

Police sources told Northeast Now that Rabindra Debbarma joined the militant outfit in the year 2000 and was in Sikarabari near Shilchuri in Bangladesh.
