Former Tripura finance and PWD minister and present MLA Badal Chowdury was on Monday granted interim relief till October 16.
He was granted anticipatory bail by district and session judge Satyajit Datta Purokayastha.

That means he can not be arrested till the court decides on his anticipatory bail plea that day.
The order was passed by the judge after hearing the former minister’s anticipatory bail plea from his lawyers.
The matter will come up for hearing afresh on Wednesday and then a final decision on his anticipatory bail plea will be heard and disposed off.
Badal Choudhury’s lawyer Arindam Bhattacharjee told to the media that, it’s a baseless allegation against the legislator.
On the other hand, chief engineer Sunil Bhowmik was produced in court on Monday.
He was later sent to jail custody till Tuesday.
He will be produced in court again on Tuesday.
It is notable that last night an FIR was registered at West Agartala Police station against Badal Choudhury, Sunil Bhowmik and Yash Pal Singh.
