Extending solidarity to the ongoing farmers’ protest, the All India Kishan Sangharsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC) in Tripura on Saturday took out a rally by the name ‘Raj Bhawan’ Abhiyan (March to Raj Bhawan) in Agartala.

Hundreds of activists of the AIKSCC marched towards the Raj Bhawan in Agartala on Saturday demanding a roll back of the three controversial farm laws.

The protestors gathered at the Orient Chaumahani in Agartala and took out the rally towards Raj Bhawan.

However, police blocked the procession shortly before it reached the circuit house area.

CPI-M leader Pabitra Kar while addressing the rally said, “Since independence this is the most inhumane Government that has come to power. So far, 150 farmers have lost their lives during protests in Delhi, but the Central Government has extended no help.”

He said that the Left Front-backed organizations decided to observe the birth anniversary of Subhash Chandra Bose by taking out a march to Raj Bhawan demanding repeal of the controversial farm laws.
