Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stated that Tripura is turning into a “land of opportunities”. 

PM Modi made this statement while addressing the people of Tripura on the occasion of its statehood day. 

He added that Tripura has also become a hub for trade connectivity. 

“Tripura is turning into a land of opportunities and hub for trade connectivity,” said PM Narendra Modi in his address. 

He added that the “double engine” government at Centre and Tripura is “working relentlessly for the state’s development”.

Modi said: “We are working continuously to meet the needs of the common people of Tripura.” 

“Tripura is performing well today on many parameters of development,” the PM added. 

Notably, Tripura is celebrating its 50th statehood day on Friday. 

Meanwhile, union home minister Amit Shah has congratulated Tripura on its 50th statehood day. 

Amit Shah said that plan for the next 25 years of development in Tripura has been laid out. 

Tripura CM Biplab Deb said: “Today, Tripura completed 50 years of becoming a full-fledged state. On this occasion, let us pledge to strive for the peace and prosperity of the state with the collaborative efforts of all.”
