Tripura Government will not tolerate ‘Syndicate Raj’, says CM Biplab Deb

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has said that the State government will never tolerate any ‘Syndicate Raj’ within the state. 

“The current state government has been working for the welfare of the people of Tripura with transparency,” said Chief Minister Biplab Deb after inspecting Madhab Bari Inter-State Truck Terminus and Jirania Railway Yard in Jirania sub-division.

He said the Tripura Government has received many complaints in regards to management in these two places.  

The Chief Minister further said that through discussions with the concerned associations and organizations, the Tripura government will now take up the responsibility of transparent management of inter-state truck terminus and freight transport.  

The Chief Minister also gave necessary instructions to the State Transport Minister and the concerned officials in regards to management in Madhab Bari Inter-State Truck Terminus and Jirania Railway Yard.

An administrative meeting was also held at Madhab Bari Inter-State Truck Terminus in Jirania sub-division under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister.  

The Chief Minister inquired from the officials about the management in these two places. 

During the meeting, the State Transport Minister and concerned officials briefed the Chief Minister about the management of inter-state truck terminus and transportation of goods. 

“In this corona situation, when the workers involved in the transport profession are facing various problems, these kinds of issues are not desirable in any way. Even many of the truck owners are facing issues while paying the bank instalments. The state government is keeping a watchful eye on the workers, truck drivers, and owners involved in the transportation of goods so that there is no deprivation or bias. The state government wants everyone to earn through a transparent system,” Deb added.
