Tripura has one Shakti Peetha in Udaipur and it is known as Tripura Sundari Temple.

The replicas would be constructed at Fulkumari, just three kilometres from Tripura Sundari Temple.

“Construction of the Shakti Peethas in Tripura will boost the tourism of the state as people who cannot afford to visit every Shakti Peetha can visit here,” infomred an official of the state tourism department.

“Devotees not just from India but also from Bangladesh will visit Tripura once the construction of the replicas is completed,” the official added.

The state tourism department has also chalked out the preliminary report of the project.

The department estimated that the entire construction will cost around Rs 44 crores.

The report will then be sent to the commission for fund sanctioning.
