Four under-trials who were arrested recently tested COVID-19 positive on Wednesday night in Tripura.
And more significantly they don’t have any travel history.
Notably on Tuesday night, one inmate of the central jail was found COVID-19 positive in central jail, 35 km south of Agartala.
And on Wednesday, four more were found coronavirus positive.

Among the four which have found positive on Wednesday night, two were arrested in a murder case on May 26.
A housewife was killed in Tripura and in connection with that case two were arrested.
They also produced before the court and sent to police remand earlier.
On June 2 last, they were sent to jail custody.
After sending them to jail custody they were tested and found COVID-19 positive.
Another was arrested in an illegal trade of drug case.

All these four new positive cases in central jail have been sent to Covid care centre for treatment.
It has learnt that earlier the four under-trails were in police remand.
Those police personnel who came in contact with them have been sent to home quarantine.
The district magistrate of Sepahijala District says all the jail inmates will be tested very soon as within two days they have got five positive patients in the jail.
