Tripura chief minister Biplab Deb raised allegation against MLAs for taking commission from the drug smugglers.
But the chief minister did not mention the name of the MLAs.
He said, “One or two MLAs are taking commission from the drug smugglers.”
After this statement, the Congress demanded that Biplab Deb reveals the name of those MLAs who are indulging in this racket.
Biplab was addressing a rally on Thursday at Gandachera subdivision, one of the remote parts of the State.
Biplab said, while he was taking action against the ganja and drug business in the State, some MLAs came to him and advised him not to take action against them.
The MLAs also advised him that if government takes action against drug business, then it will affect the economy of the State.
Tapas Dey, the Congress spokesperson said it is very unfortunate that the MLAs are taking commission from the drug smugglers and the chief minister should book them first.
Dey said as the chief minister is also holding the Home portfolio it is his duty to take action against those MLAs.
