AGARTALA: Tripura chief minister Dr Manik Saha asserted that the time has come for the gradual dissolution of the Congress-led INDIA bloc, citing a growing public awareness of the alliance’s “divisive tactics”.

Addressing an election rally in support of BJP candidate Kriti Singh Debbarma at Fatikroy, under Unakoti district of Tripura, CM Saha highlighted that the INDIA bloc, comprising 28 political parties under the banner of the “Save Constitution Committee”, is losing ground.

“Their influence is waning. Their efforts aim to sow confusion among the people. While they advocate for democracy, their history reveals compromises made during the emergency period. Many suffered under the CPIM and Congress regimes. Now, these 28 parties have joined hands, supposedly to uphold the constitution, but their motives are self-serving,” said Tripura CM Manik Saha.

Saha emphasized that the accomplishments of PM Narendra Modi over the past decade mark just the beginning of a transformative journey.

“The momentum of the double-engine government’s progress cannot be halted. A wave of development is sweeping across the nation, earning PM Modi respect on the global stage, even earning him the moniker ‘Mr. Boss’. BJP remains unwavering in its dedication to development and the welfare of women, the impoverished, farmers, and the youth. The instability of the past has been replaced by rapid progress since Narendra Modi assumed office in 2014. This Lok Sabha election holds paramount importance in safeguarding the nation. Tripura has witnessed significant improvements in law and order,” the Tripura CM added.
