Rahul Kanwal, an investigative journalist and director, India Today, who took interview of Chief Minister Deb and made the fitness challenge with Deb on India Today Conclave stage, on Saturday stated on his Twitter handle: “Great sport. Tripura CM Biplab Kr Deb (finished) 45 clean push ups.”

Kanwal also added: “Don’t know any other Indian CM who can knock off 45 clean push-ups without breaking into a sweat. Biplab Kr Deb setting an example for the youth of Tripura, which he says is being ravaged by a growing drug menace. Fears drug situation in Tripura worse than in Punjab.”

Tripura CM Biplab Kr Deb, speaking to Rahul Kanwal at India Today Conclave vowed to make Tripura a drug-free State. Biplab Deb also said that when taking charge as the Chief Minister, he thought he wouldn’t have much work to do but was mistaken.
During the event, Chief Minister Deb also claimed to make Tripura a model State in three years.
It may be mentioned that Biplab Deb is one of the speakers at the India Today Conclave along with three other Chief Ministers from the Northeastern region including Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma and Manipur Chuef Minister N. Biren Singh.
