Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has urged the people to maintain a close vigil along the international border with Bangladesh.
Deb laid stress on intensifying vigil along the India-Bangladesh border so that no person from the neighbouring country can enter Tripura.

In a video message, the CM appealed to the people to look after the bordering area, which he termed it as ‘Janata Patrolling’.
“Those people who live near the international border should be more active and make it sure that nobody enters Tripura illegally,” the CM said.
“The administration is also keeping a close watch in the borders,” Deb further added.

Tripura shares an 856-kilometre long international border with Bangladesh and the neighbouring country surrounds the state from three sides.
Deb also informed that the BSF and the police have already intensified patrolling in the unfenced patches of Sonamura, Boalkhali, Gandacherra and other parts of the state.
