The Left Front in Tripura, led by the CPI-M, on Wednesday, announced its candidates for the ensuing polls to the civic bodies in the state.
Elections for as many as 20 urban local bodies including the Agartala Municipal Corporation will be held on November 25.
In Agartala Municipal Corporation, the Left Front has fielded candidates in 35 wards. There are a total of 51 wards under the Agartala Municipal Corporation.
The Left Front further informed that it has already requested the election commission to ensure peaceful polling.

“The law-and-order situation in Tripura is not good. So, we have requested the election commission to ensure peaceful polling,” said senior CPI-M leader Ratan Das.
Nearly six lakh people are expected to cast their votes during the civic bodies’ elections in Tripura.
