Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb took strong exception of the ‘growing intolerance’ of Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) over BAC chairman issue.
Deb on Wednesday said that he had already conveyed his annoyance to the IPFT leadership.
While interacting with media in Agartala, Deb disclosed that the frequent road blockade agitations launched by the IPFT workers have caused much inconvenience to the general public.
He also said that if such disturbances continue even after the warning, his government will be compelled to take serious action.
The Chief Minister was on a visit to Sonamura sub-division to hold a review meeting on barbed wire fencing.
During the visit, Deb also visited some tribal hamlets.
The Chief Minister also held a meeting with Chief Secretary Sanjeev Ranjan, DGP A K Sukla and IG, BSF Tripura Frontier H K Lohia to discuss on how to complete fencing work in Sonamura sub-division.
Later, the Chief Minister had a review meeting at District Magistrate’s office at Bishramganj where he directed the officials to execute development works and complete the same within the stipulated time.
He also assured that there will be no dearth of funds for development works in the State.
