Agartala: Tripura Chief Electoral Officer, Puneet Agarwal, announced on Wednesday that comprehensive arrangements have been finalized for the counting of Lok Sabha votes on June 4.
CEO Agarwal made this announcement following an inspection of a counting hall and a strong room at Umakanta Academy in Agartala.
He confirmed that the vote counting would occur on June 4, with all necessary preparations to be completed ahead of schedule.

“Preparations have begun across all 60 counting halls, located at 20 different sites. Various measures are being implemented to ensure the smooth and orderly conduct of vote counting at each polling station. Each centre is equipped with a CCTV system, firefighting equipment, a three-tier security system, and an uninterrupted power supply,” Agarwal stated.

Additionally, Agarwal mentioned that administrative officials and representatives from various political parties are consistently reviewing the security arrangements for the strong rooms.
“No complaints regarding the strong rooms have been received so far. A three-layer security system, including CAPF, State Armed Forces, and Tripura Police, is in place. We are also working to further enhance security,” he added.
The Chief Election Officer expressed satisfaction with the security measures at the strong rooms across the state.
