The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) campaign crusade in Poll-bound Tripura has gained extra momentum after an opinion poll predicted that the BJP-IPFT coalition in Tripura is likely to win between 31 to 37 seats out of the total 60 Assembly constituencies.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is arriving in the State on Thursday, to further boost the party’s campaign for the ensuing Assembly elections.

Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to address two elections rallies – at Kalapania School Ground in Sepahijala district and another at RKI school ground in Unakoti district of the district.

According to official sources, Modi is arriving at Agartala airport around 11.15 am by a special aircraft where he will be welcomed by party state president Biplab Kumar Deb and Prabhari Sunil Deodhar.

This will be the first visit of Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister to the Left Front ruled state.

Meanwhile, security has been beefed up across the State in view of the Prime Minister’s visit.

Earlier on Wednesday, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal addressed an election rally of the BJP at Sachindranagar colony area of Majlishpur Assembly constituency.
