Tripura BJP MLA alleges patients dying due to lack of oxygen

Allegations are rife that patients are dying due to lack of oxygen at the Tripura’s main referral hospital GB Pant hosptal.

BJP MLA Ashish Kumar Saha has made the same allegation after former health minister Sudip Roy Barman.

Asish Saha complained that there was an error in the management of oxygen supply on the 3rd floor of GB’s NTH-2, Covid block.

And that’s why so many patients with COVID-19 have died, the MLA alleged.

This is a serious allegation by the MLA, as he is from ruling party.

Earlier many patients and the opposition complained about the poor health facility of GBP hospital.

Now the ruling party MLA also raising the same complain.

Earlier, former health minister and MLA Sudip Roy had written to chief minister several times to give some advice on COVID-19 treatment.

However, the Health department does not have any kind of activeness, alleged the legislator.

An example of which is the death rate of patients due to massive defects in oxygen supply, the MLA pointed out.

Ashish Saha complained that the Health department was failing to deal with COVID-19 situation.

Saha also send a letter to the Biplab Deb and alleged that, the oxygen supply in GBP ICU unit is not upto the mark.

There are some error in the oxygen pipeline, he pointed out.
