Since the arrest, Chowdhury was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Agartala.
The former minister was brought to the police station on Wednesday for interrogation.
He was interrogated for more than an hour in the police station, the police officials said.
During the course of interrogation, Chowdhury complained of chest pain and uneasiness, and was rushed to the GB Hospital.
