The awareness campaign was mainly targeted at ensuring the safety and security of women passengers, who generally face inconvenience during their journey by train.

Helpline number 182 was introduced and operationalised for the safety and security of women passengers and people were asked to update their contact lists with these numbers. The RPF officials said, though the department had received many complaints from the women passengers on eve-teasing and physical abuses, many cases went unreported due to unavailability of helpline numbers.

In this regard, the RPF introduced helpline numbers during the campaign that would cater to safety and security related issues.
