The Covid-19 death toll climbed to 262 in Tripura with seven more people succumbing to the in deadly disease in the last 24 hours, health officials said.
The mortality rate in the State stands at 1.10 per cent.
The total number of COVID-19 cases increased to 24,130 as 341 more people tested positive for the virus on Friday, an official said.
The West district reported most of the new cases, according to a bulletin released by the Tripura health department.
Currently, the State has 6,043 active cases, while 17,467 patients have already recovered.
As many as 512 patients have recovered during the past 24 hours.
Till date, Tripura has registered 23,766 positive cases, which is the second highest in Northeast after Assam.
