With the situation going out of control, North Tripura District Magistrate called for an emergency meeting in presence of Panisagar SDM, Railway Engineer Jayanta Kajari and five members from the protestors’ team.

The agitators were asked to wait till Sunday and the North Tripura District Magistrate assured the agitators that measures regarding the construction of the bridge would be taken by then.

After getting the assurance, the protestors called off the blockade.
