AGARTALA: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the people of Tripura virtually from Delhi on February 24.

Tripura CM Manik Saha said that PM Modi’s address to the people of the state will be a part of “Viksit Bharat Viksit Tripura” reach-out programme.

“PM Narendra Modi will address the people of Tripura virtually from Delhi on February 24,” CM Manik Saha said.

Highlighting the achievement of the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre over the past almost ten years, Tripura CM Manik Saha said the PM has ensured as many as six national highways being constructed in the Northeast state.

“Within the framework of the Act East policy, the inauguration of the Maitri Setu, linking Bangladesh, has taken place in Sabroom, South Tripura. Additionally, plans for establishing a Special Economic Zone in Sabroom are underway. The anticipated operationalization of the bridge will significantly alter the landscape of the state, facilitating direct connectivity to the Chittagong port in Bangladesh,” he said.

The Tripura chief minister announced that a sum of Rs 440 crore has been allocated for the execution of several projects, which encompass the construction of embankments along both banks of the River Haora and the enhancement of the Ujjayanta Palace precincts in Agartala.
