“There is no democracy in Tripura,” said disgruntled BJP MLA and former state health minister Sudip Roy Barman.
Sudip Roy Barman made this statement while speaking about the recent spate of political violence in Tripura between the BJP and the TMC.
“Law and order is the responsibility of the state government. There is no democracy in Tripura. Not a single statement from the home minister (Biplab Deb) that hooliganism won’t be tolerated. What does he think of himself? His days are numbered, I can tell you,” Sudip Roy Barman was quoted as saying by India Today.
He further said: “My duty as a BJP worker is to ensure democracy is restored. People’s voice is being heard. It is my duty and I will ensure that.”
