Dharmanagar police of Tripura arrested three National Liberation Front of Twipra (NLFT) insurgents on Tuesday night..

One 9 mm pistol and six round cartridge was recovered from their possession.

The arrested three extremists have been identified as Kanti Marak of Khedachera, Samparai Debbarma of Mandwai and Fanijoy Reang of Manikpur.

According to police sources they were coming from Silchar.

They boarded in the Silchar-Agartala passenger train.

The police detained them from the railway station.

But somehow one of them fled from the Panisagar rail station.

Lastly police nabbed him from Dharmanagar rail station.

The superintendent of police, Bhanupada Chakraborty told the three were involved in extremism for NLFT.

He said they got am input from the police intelligence and according to the information they nabbed these three militants.

Few days back MP Rebati Tripura was threatened by the NLFT extremists for supporting CAA in the Parliament.

Police suspect that these three may involve in that case.

According to police they were involved in issuing extortion notice in some pockets of the State.

These three will be produce to court on Thursday.
