Justice Indrajit Mohanty has been sworn-in as the new chief justice of the Tripura High Court.
Justice Indrajit Mohanty took oath of office at the Raj Bhawan in Agartala, Tripura.
Tripura Governor Satyadev Narayan Arya administered the oath oof office to justice Indrajit Mohanty on Tuesday.
Top leaders including Tripura chief minister Biplab Deb, deputy CM Jishnu Dev Varma, union minister Pratima Bhowmik along with other ministers were present at the swearing in ceremony.
Justice Mohanty has been transferred from Rajasthan High Court. He has replaced AA Kureshi as chief justice of Tripura HC.

Justice Mohanty is the sixth chief justice of Tripura, after the establishment of a separate high court in the state in 2013.
Meanwhile, justice AA Kureshi, despite being one of the senior-most high court judges in the country, has not been elevated as a judge of the Supreme Court yet.
Instead, he has been transferred to the Rajasthan High Court.
